The New Me
A Synthesis Paper for FFP

Mr. Jose Paolo Miguel N. Espinosa
BS Information System Student

I.                   Short Introduction
“Simplicity is beauty” that is the last thing I’ve learned from my instructor. Some of us here in the world does not know the meaning of the “life’s values” and how to change to be a better person, I am one of them before. FFP for me is an opportunity. It helps me a lot to be become a more responsible person and to be able to do things that I thought that never going to happen in my life. I discovered that there are a lot of things that I need to develop for myself after finishing this program. It changes me to a better one for what I believe is so good. There is one time that comes in to my mind, what if FFP is taught to all schools, I wonder how the world it will be.

II.                Turning Point
“The new grading system” is the first that caught my attention. It is funny because I focus on that part on my first day of class and my FFP instructor gave us the complete detail on that so I beginning to like my instructor. The next class was awesome when the instructor started to discuss the first chapter of the FFP program. So I got curious and decided to read the FFP manual. What I’ve learned from their and to my instructor is exactly what I am seeking for a long time. What I am seeking is one, how to adjust in the college life, second is to maintain and manage my time correctly. From there on, my college life started to change.

III.              Carousel
My life before is just like a repeating cycle. Bob Proctor said “In order to change life, is to change”. After I learned the 3 C’s and the life and works of St. Ignatius that Carousel died. I’ve learned how to detach myself from my current status into a simpler one. I can now drop what is not useful even it’s fun and addictive and add and retain what is useful, easily. “To be competitive with conscience and creativity” is my new motto, the Atenean way.

IV.              The Application
They say that making a new habit requires a 22 day repetition. I am practicing it now every day to become that person that I want to be. And that person can be described as a very influential and a very wealthy man. I can now easily reflect and apply what I’ve learned from the program and to see if my progress is running smoothly. And to change whatever is necessary to change I might encountered in the past.

V.                Conclusion
I am 26 years of age now, but FFP have helped me to realize that it is not too late to become a better person to oneself and others. The program gave me a stepping stone from where to start and guide me what to do next and next and further next. The only challenge I consider to be is the time pressure. The rest is fun and interesting.

I should be a better person so that God can see himself reflecting towards me like a mirror; “The Refiner’s Fire” from the FFP manual.

Prayer before I sleep and after waking up
(My personal prayer)
Dear God. Thank you for all the blessings I have received. Thank you for the health and the wealth. Thank you for the happiness that I encounter every day. Thank you for keeping me, my family and my friends safe and warm. Thank you for the guidance and intuition. Thank you for the opportunity you have placed on me.  Thank you for the strengths and energy.
Blessed are those who have nothing to eat, nothing to ware and nothing to sleep on. Guide them to the right path and dress them and feed them.
Amen.
